The Movies Movies

These five movies were made back in 2005 by PyroFalkon for the IGN Strategy guide for The Movies! (WARNING: Some of them aren't very good!) The Movies was the first and only machinamation game, and while some really great movies were made by others, Pyro never really explored its depths for longer than it took to write the guide.

If you like this, Pyro might make some voice-acted ones too; he's getting the itch to play it again.

Dynasty Warriors Strikeforce Ep16 - Dragon Slaying

PyroFalkon and Yoshi continue to play Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce! In this profanity-laden episode, the guys end their session by fighting Dong Zhuo and his pillar-like fire-breathing dragon!

This episode includes the mission "Battle of Mei Castle."

Dynasty Warriors Strikeforce Ep15 - Extinguishing Fires

PyroFalkon and Yoshi continue to play Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce for the Xbox 360! In this short episode, the guys do a quick item trade, and Pyro finds an awesome orb for his weapons. After that, they move on to continue with the Wu storyline.

This episode includes the mission "Battle of Luo Yang."

Dynasty Warriors Strikeforce Ep14 - Double Duels

PyroFalkon and Yoshi continue to play Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce for the Xbox 360! After a little bit of city maintenance, the guys play through two special missions that continue to show Koei's massively wrong definition of the word "duel." They try to avenge their only loss against Orochi to surprising results.

This episode includes the missions "Duel! Diao Chan" and "Orochi's Ambition."

Dynasty Warriors Strikeforce Ep13 - Lu Bu's Great Wall

PyroFalkon and Yoshi continue to play Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce for the Xbox 360! This time, the guys are engaging Lu Bu and his giant living wall, which is absolutely not a euphemism.

This episode includes the mission "Battle of Hu Lao Gate."

Dynasty Warriors Strikeforce Ep12 - Redefining "Duel"

PyroFalkon and Yoshi continue to play Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce! After earning a special treasure in the last misison, they've unlocked a special mission where they get to duel Zhang Jiao, although it seems to be less of a "duel" and more of an ambush.

This episode includes the mission "Duel! Zhang Jiao."

Dynasty Warriors Strikeforce Ep11 - Capture the Base

The guys continue to play Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce! The guys continue their momentum, and continue into the next mission, especially because Pyro gets a new weapon.

This episode includes the mission "Turbans' Remnants."

Not Enough Hours

Writing is funny for me... It's a catch-22. I do my best writing at night, and once I get going, I don't want to stop. But then, because it's night, I get tired easily. It's 5am as I write this, and I want to keep going, but my brain is starting to get fuzzy and I need to stop.

On Tuesday, I won't have a recap hanging over my head. Hopefully I can get an early start (once the sun goes down, maybe around 6pm-ish) and can write for more than a few hours.

Oh well. Chapters 1 through 4 are done. I don't know exactly where that translates in the grand scheme of the book, but it's just around 18,000 words for this draft so far.

Dynasty Warriors Strikeforce Ep10 - Boxed Ambush

PyroFalkon and Yoshi continue to play Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce! The guys have suffered their first loss in this Let's Play series, but they show that you still get resources, experience, and other goodies despite being defeated. They lick their wounds (metaphorically of course), then get right back into the fight.

This episode includes the mission "Ambush."

Dynasty Warriors Strikeforce Ep9 - Japan Beats China

PyroFalkon and Yoshi play Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce for the Xbox 360! It's a different and incredibly fun Dynasty Warriors experience, and you'll see the guys slaughter enemies like never before in this previously PSP-exclusive title. Previous episodes have shown how to play, but the guys have a good handle on the mechanics, so they get right to the game!

This episode includes the missions "To the Rescue" and "Orochi's Ambition."

Dynasty Warriors Strikeforce Ep8 - Yellow Thunder

PyroFalkon and Yoshi have been playing Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce for a couple hours now and are ready to call it a night. They've got one more storyline mission in chapter 1, and the guys are on enough of a roll to keep it going and finish off the chapter. However, they haven't dealt with Zhang Jiao's ultimate weapon yet...

This episode includes the mission "Yellow Turban Rebellion."

Dynasty Warriors Strikeforce Ep7 - Cotton Run

PyroFalkon and Yoshi continue to play Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce. The guys have been blazing through the game, gathering tons of materials to upgrade their weapons and skills. However, they also need materials to upgrade buildings, and Yoshi finds himself a little short on Cotton Cloth for his blacksmith. The guys decide to head back to the previous mission and run it again to farm for the materials. For future episodes, they probably won't repeat missions on-camera when going on farming runs, but this time around, the guys run the mission in opposite roles they did last time, so you can see the battle from both perspectives!

This episode includes the mission "Surprise Attack."

Dynasty Warriors Strikeforce Ep6 - Orbs and Upgrades

PyroFalkon and Yoshi have survived the Yellow Turban Fortress, and now Pyro can afford his first orb. He'll show you how to buy them and how to apply them, and he's got some weapon upgrades in store too. His Xiao Ciao is getting stronger and stronger, and Yoshi is easily hanging with him as Sun Ce. Can the guys be stopped?

This episode includes the mission "Surprise Attack."

Dynasty Warriors Strikeforce Ep5 - Breach and Clear

Pyro and Yoshi continue to play Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce. This time the guys are going after the next storyline mission, Yellow Turban Fortress, which is the first mission that won't take a couple minutes to clear. They show you how to deal with breaching castles and destroying all the armaments, and Pyro goes deaf from the volume at the same time! (Don't worry, the video volume was altered in post-production, so you won't blow out your speakers and suffer the same fate.)

This episode includes the mission "Yellow Turban Fortress."

Dynasty Warriors Strikeforce Ep4 - Using Tactics

Pyro and Yoshi continue to play Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce. Still no sign of slowing down today, and the guys have finished off their first storyline mission. This time, with enough Officer Cards, the guys show you how to experiment with in-battle tactics.

This episode includes the mission "Lost Belongings."

Dynasty Warriors Strikeforce Ep3 - Upgrading Weapons and Chi

Pyro and Yoshi continue to play Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce. Two missions in, and the guys have found a rhythm. The first few missions are pretty easy after all, so the guys are concentrating on working out the kinks in the interface. You'll see how to upgrade weapons and buy Chi skills in this episode.

This episode includes the mission "Yellow Turban Menace."

Dynasty Warriors Strikeforce Ep2 - Visiting Officers

Pyro and Yoshi continue to play Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce for the Xbox 360! They cleared the quick and easy first mission in the last episode, and they get their first visiting officer in their city! They say hello and deal with Officer Cards before heading out for the next mission.

This episode includes the mission "Officer Pursuit."

Dynasty Warriors Strikeforce Ep1 - Entering China

PyroFalkon and Yoshi take on Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce for the Xbox 360! It's a different and incredibly fun Dynasty Warriors experience, and you'll see the guys slaughter enemies like never before in this previously PSP-exclusive title. This series will also serve as a good "how to" video series in case you're just starting out with the game.

This episode includes the mission "Bandit Trap."

Rainbow AAR Ep 71 - Hide and Seek

The guys are doing VERY well in Operation Krakatoa, even if they haven't found Shen Yu. It seems after avenging their loss in Alley Strike but being humiliated again in Ghost Town, the guys are going to go 2-for-3!

But sometimes, it's that last terrorist that's the most troubling...

Rainbow AAR Ep 70 - Deep in Krakatoa

The guys continue their trip through the secret volcano base. Against all odds, everything is going pretty smoothly for them!

Rainbow AAR Ep 69 - Finding the Evil Genius

PyroFalkon and Yoshi's trip to Ghost Town to avenge their loss ends decisively, so the guys move on to the next map in this episode, Operation Krakatoa. It's another player-made map that puts Rainbow in a secret volcano base! Can the guys avenge their loss here?

Rainbow AAR Ep 68 - Unseen and Deadly

A glitch unfortunately ended the guys' last attempt to avenge their loss at Ghost Town. Now that Pyro knows a solid path through the stage though, he leads Yoshi on to give it one more shot.

Rainbow AAR Ep 67 - An Exhaustive Effort

PyroFalkon continues through the Ghost Town map in terrorist hunt, with Yoshi scouting all the way. Pyro has found his groove, and despite the delay in voice, the guys are communicating well. The stage is quickly coming to an end, and Pyro just needs to close the deal to avenge their losses!

Rainbow AAR Ep 66 - Second Sight

PyroFalkon is on his own through Ghost Town, but Yoshi is providing some recon since he's suffering from an acute case of being dead. Can Pyro pull off the upset and avenge their losses at Ghost Town?
